Peter Dodd

Literary Agent at United Talent Agency
Panelist, Seattle Film Summit

During his undergrad days at Harvard, Peter studied religion and politics, not exactly a go-to combo for a future agent. But the skill set does come in handy when negotiating.

Peter was recently named Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen Execs 2016: Hollywood’s Up-and-Comers 35 and Under.

After becoming an agent in 2013, he cultivated a roster of writers and directors that regularly appear on the Black List. Among them: Jonathan Perera, whose timely gun control drama “Miss Sloane” was released in December of last year, David Mackenzie, who directed the indie breakout “Hell or High Water,” and writer Michael Werwie.

After graduating magna cum laude, the Hasty Pudding alum spent more than three years as a strategy consultant at Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital before he took the “humbling” plunge into UTA’s mailroom in 2009.

Peter lives in West Hollywood with his rescue dog, Cleopatra.
