Josh Taft is a Seattle-based director who began his career at the groundbreaking Propaganda Films. He is a graduate from NYU Film School and was a pioneer in the early years of MTV, directing hundreds of music videos for the likes of Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains. He has successfully mounted productions in over 60 countries, many of which have resulted in numerous awards, including from MTV, Billboard Magazine and Rolling Stone, as well as capturing the coveted Cannes Golden Lion for his work with Coca Cola. Josh has also directed numerous award-winning commercials for companies like Nike and Sprite. Much of his commercial work features celebrity athletes, including Kobe Bryant and Russell Wilson. He’s even created sports-based television programming for ESPN and Fox Sports. Josh is proud to have recently completed “Alive & Well”, a feature length documentary about Huntington’s Disease. Currently, Josh is at work with Teton Gravity Research on a feature length documentary about the pro surfer Andy Irons.
