Breven Warren believes in the power of independent filmmakers, storytellers and artists. She brings a rich, eclectic background to the table, which includes working with independent film, nonprofits, festival directing, programming and curating. As founder and director of Angaelica, an arts and ecology organization, she produces projects and develops mentorship programs for filmmakers and creators at all stages of their careers. Breven went to graduate school after a dozen years in the film and festival industry to explore the infrastructures that directly affect emerging filmmaking talent. She is now a doctoral candidate, hoping to unify the artist development models with the evolving distribution landscape.
