Charles Papert
Charles Papert’s film career includes a wide range of eclectic credits. Papert briefly attended NYU film school, then worked extensively as a camera and Steadicam operator on feature films, including the cult favorite “Office Space”, the powerful “American History X”, and television series such as “Scrubs” and “The West Wing”. He is a sought-after and versatile Director of Photography, primarily in the comedy genre. His credits include the celebrated series “Key & Peele,” “Crank Yankers,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “Burning Love,” “Garfunkel and Oates,” and many more. In addition to his traditional industry credits, Papert is a co-creator of Instant Films, one of the original 48-hour filmmaking festivals, where he executive produced 125 short films and directed eleven. He is a regular contributor to filmmaking message boards and podcasts.
