Chris Swenson

Chris is the Acting Director of Seattle’s Office of Film + Music. Since 2008, as the City’s Film Program Manager, Chris has overseen over 4,000 film permits including major motion pictures, such as “50 Shades of Grey”, and television series like “Grey’s Anatomy.” Since 2012, Chris has also served as Seattle’s Citywide Event Manager and Seattle Special Events Committee Chair and has overseen over 3,000 Special Event Permits, including NFL, MLS, and WNBA Championship Parades. Prior to his work with the City, Chris was a successful independent Seattle record label owner and artist manager during Seattle’s Grunge Years™. He was also a successful small film business owner over his 13-year film career where he led visual conception and design on feature film, independent film, corporate, and commercial film productions across the country.  Chris is a member of the Washington State Film Leadership Council, Washington Festivals & Events Association Board, UW Film Advisory Board, and Artist Trust EDGE Advisory Board.
