Lukas Hassel
Lukas Hassel is an actor, writer and filmmaker. Born and raised in Denmark, he studied acting in The Samuel Beckett Theatre School, Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.
As an actor, he can be seen on Netflix in “The Black Room” and “Art of the Dead” as well as on on TV in “The Blacklist”, “Elementary”, “Blue Bloods”, “Limitless” and more.
As a writer, his feature script, “The Mechanic”, won the CineStory Fellowship, and has placed in top 30 of the Nicholl’s Fellowship twice. He won the Shore Script Film Fund with his TV pilot “Galápagos” and was selected to be part of NYSAF’s filmmaker lab at Vassar. He is the 2020 Screencraft Fellowship winner for his dramedy Girls On the Run.
He directed the award winning short films “Into the Dark” and “The Son”, the “Father”. His feature horror screenplay “Silhouette” has been optioned by Emergence Pictures and Lukas is slated to direct in Spring 2021.
