Dave Nugent
Dave Nugent or Nuge, as many call him, became very interested in the production side of film at age 42. He moved out of his hometown of Bellingham to follow his passion toward a new career in Seattle. He put together a powerful resume with a production assistant objective and immediately found his way into all the Seattle productions.
He spent 1.5 years as a production assistant and then saw some needed holes to be filled both as a crew person and equipment wise and jumped into craft service, motor home rentals and then equipment rentals. At some point during his rise in the Northwest Film Industry the nickname Nuge took hold which eventually became the beginning of the company he formed call Go-4 Nuge Production Rentals.
For many years, Nuge was a first call craft service crew person and became known for his large trays of hot and cold grabbable snack items that he would prepare and carry to set. He is also Teamster driver on union commercials and movies. His company, Go4Nuge, is now one of the leading vendors for production supplies to the whole northwest film industry. Go-4 Nuge Production Rentals has become a go-to rental house for equipment that includes, motor homes, box trucks, pass vans, a custom made shuttle bus with crew bathrooms, walkies, chairs, tables, heaters, tents etc.
He now teaches a sought after production assistant class several times a year. More recently he has teamed up with GoodSide Studio to produce an online version based on his classes called the Power PA course.
In his spare time and during the Covid -19 lockdown he worked on an on-camera experiment where he has been streaming an informal cooking show he calls “What’s On The Griddle”.
