Nike Imoru

Nike Imoru is a British-Nigerian casting director, producer, actress of stage and screen, and actor’s coach. After 25 years as a professor and scholar of theatre, gender and African- American history (in the UK and US), she began casting for film. In her fourteen years as a casting director she is probably best known in the NW for casting Sy Fy’s #1 show, “Z nation”, which boasted 90% local actors in series regular, guest and co-starring roles in any given season. She is the President, Executive Producer and co-founder of Rebel Kat Productions, a film finance company with a mission to finance quality film and tv that empowers the voices and stories of women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ community and persons with disabilities, both in front of and behind the camera.

Rebel Kat’s debut movie “All Those Small Things”, starring James Faulkner (Downtown Abbey and Game of Thrones) has just completed post-production. “Liberty’s Daughters”, inspired by book of the same name and written by Pulitzer Prize finalist, Dr. Mary Beth Norton is in development.

Ms. Imoru is a member of the Casting Society of America. She gained her PhD from the University of Warwick UK.
