Sudeshna Sen
As a former professor of Japanese Literature and Visual Culture at the University of Washington and Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Berkeley, a filmmaking career came late for Sen. She has a PhD. from University of Oregon. “Every lecture, every seminar was storytelling,” says Sen. A 2012 screenwriting class inspired her first short film “Julia’s Farm”. Her most recent short “Mehndi” has screened at dozens of festivals nationwide. She also serves as board member of the non-profit arts organization Northwest Film Forum, and is a producer on numerous local films, including the Charles Mudede-led “Thin Skin” and Megan Griffith's award-winning “Sadie”.
