Tasveer
Tasveer is the leading South Asian film and arts organization in the country, that just concluded its 14th Tasveer South Asian Film Festival. Tasveer was founded by two local South Asian women, Rita Meher and Farah Nousheen, in March 2002 to elevate South Asian voices.
The Tasveer South Asian Film Festival (TSAFF) is the largest South Asian film festival in the world, which takes place annually in the beautiful Pacific Northwest city of Seattle, Washington. In 2019, TSAFF took place over 14 days, presenting thought-provoking films & forums on South Asia and its diaspora to engage viewers in dialogue on the issues of human rights, social/political/economic justice, and representation. Besides TSAFF, Tasveer also hosts two other remarkable festivals - the South Asian Women Festival and South Asian LitFest.
