Teme Wokoma
A Seattle Native, Teme Wokoma immersed herself in the expressive arts from a young age through various genres of media and entertainment; dance, poetry, painting, acting and more. From the tender age of 9 she made up in her mind what her purpose in life would be and that was to express herself through ART! A few years later, at the ages of 12 - 14 years old, Teme would have found her way to preforming lead and supporting roles in plays featured at some of Seattle's most notable theaters; The Paramount, The Moore, Seattle Repertory Theatre; these experiences would further her foundation in her career and actualizing her dreams.
Throughout high school she would continue to perform in local dance companies that would afford her many experiences to dance in institutions like Langston Hughes Performing Arts Theater as well as [once Seattle local] radio station KUBE 93.3 Summer Jam Concerts.
Post High School Teme Wokoma would acquire her Cosmetology License as well as become accredited in Special Effects Makeup at E.i School for Professional Makeup in Hollywood, CA; she would be simultaneously, working as a Natural Hairstylist at Good Hair Salon and continuing to perform on stage as well as music videos, commercials and festivals like Coachella [Lizzo 2019] Teme, currently resides in Seattle, WA and currently runs a small and exclusive Hair & Beauty Boutique Business: Lavender Dream Beauty LLC, works for local organization King County Equity Now, her vision is to give back and bridge gaps in her industry locally, nationally and internationally.
