Anthony Tackett

Anthony Tackett served 21 years as a content creator for a number of organizations including UW, Live Nation, Microsoft, Pacific Science Center, T-Mobile, Africatown, Rainer Avenue Radio, One Vibe Africa, to name a few. His company, Abstract Media, focuses is to uplift and empower his clients and helping them realize their vision and to build their brand.

He is currently serving on the board of the Seattle Film Task Force whose mission is to help reshape and restore the Washington Film Commission to better serve an equitable film community. He stepped as co-chair but is still on the board and focuses on the DEI conversation as it is still a major problem in Seattle.

Tackett is also the Founder of the Seattle Filmmakers of the African Diaspora (409 strong) which provides a space for Black filmmakers who want a larger network, more resources, and gain (or share) wisdom in the craft. They hold workshops on Producing, Distribution, Camera technology, etc. It has helped people realize their own vision and has inspired many productions around the world.

As a volunteer, he has helped restore Life Enrichment Bookstore, consulted Africatown’s Media Team, assisted in the launching of Rainer Avenue Radio, taught production classes to the youth and elders of the community, and is now attending classes at Evergreen State College Tacoma branch where he plans to finish with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and continue for his Master's in Business and ultimately pursue his Doctorate. He is confident he will remain persistent and diligent in this endeavor with the right support.
